ReplyDeleteLuv this blog, wanted to share another fun tip. To make the fav nail polish thats getting old last one more (or maybe 2) times add a few drops of nail polish remover and shake. But make sure its just a few tiny drops, if too thin it will come off your nails really fast. Just make it enough so you can shake it up.
ReplyDeleteIve been doing that all my life.. it really works ;)

ReplyDeleteidk if you knew this or not but you can use an iron to remove wax from carpet (my dog loves to knock over our sentsy) all you do is put down 4 to 6 paper towels and press the iron on the paper towels :) the steam helps somehow also it removed the red stain from the wax out of our carpet

The refrigerator is old and the black handles are all sticky..even though i wipe the handles and i have tried a dobie but i end up taking some black stuff off? they need some oil or something to refresh the black rubber. I have thought of spray painting the handles but don't know if that is a good idea. Can you help?? thanks..Janet

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing... Caitlin in Manchester, MA
I just found you through a link of a link of a link :) Great tips and I have another for you. Buy some old fashion ice trays at the dollar store cube up some fresh lemons or oranges for each section then fill with vinegar and freeze. Once frozen remove and put in a bag for storage. Use this instead of the expensive garbage despisal cleaner balls. I found this on Pinterest and have been using this for a few months with the same results for a lot less money.
ReplyDeleteAnother good one from my Mawmaw is to put some ice and table salt into the pot of your coffee maker and slush around then rinse and was as normal. It will remove the stains and makes your pot look new again.
Cute site! Love the compilation of useful information.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your practical solutions to everyday problems. I'm starting a USA Book Tour for my book, "Total Home Makeover" and I'm interested in featuring your blog when I get to your state. Email me at nrmetzler@windstream.net for more info. :-)

ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI'm an almost 60 yr old woman from South Africa and I love Pinterest, can't stay away! That's how I found your tips. Fantastic! Maybe I have something that you can share.
1. Talking about warts - nail polish that you apply a few times a day will do the trick.
2. Runny tummy? "Maizena" (flour made from corn) a teaspoonful mixed with a little water. It works wonders and it is safe.
All the best with you DIY-ing!
Love,

My mom, sisters and I were talking after one of my sisters had a baby.My mom said that if you start to buy diapers instead of buying pads or tampons during your pregnancy that you can get a good stock going. That by the time that the baby shows up you can get about a months worth of diapers there all ready.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get the super why cake ?
