Two.

Grayson Boy-

Today you turn two. TWO?! How?! Time really flies my little love, as it seems like only yesterday you were a teeny baby and now you're a full fledged little boy. Words can not even express how much joy and love you bring to our family. Not to mention endless imagination and laughter, you always have Mommy and Daddy cracking up.

Currently you are into Thomas the Train, Chuggington, Curious George, Diggers, and Minions. You love to color, play with play dough, stickers or any other sensory messy play. You also love the ipad, reading books, building puzzles and playing games.  You are always busy and always on the go, but when you're into something you can sit for a long time doing one activity.

You know all of your letters and numbers up to 20, even though you don't say them. You also know your shapes and colors. Talking is still a bit of a struggle, but you are getting better every day. Your new favorite word is crash, and you say it constantly.

Your Thomas birthday party was a success and all of the kids seemed to have a good time. Even if you didn't like when everyone sang to you. You are not a child who enjoys being in the spotlight, but you love being the center of one persons attention. You could spend all day playing with Nana or Pappy and be completely happy. Lately you've been into giving big hugs and kisses, which melts everyone to puddles.

You have your two year visit next week, but I'm thinking you're around 28 pounds. Your 24 month pants are a little too short, but your 2T's are a bit big in the waist. You'll grow into them, I guess.  You're also in 24 month/2T shirts, although you can still fit into some 18 month things.  You're wearing size 4 diapers and have no desire to give them up for the potty just yet.

Foods you love are chicken, fries, apples, bananas, pizza, rice, carrots, goldfish,  pears, blueberries, grapes, cherry tomatoes, cereal, bagels, waffles, fruit snacks, iced tea, popcorn, peanut butter crackers, cheese its, cake (of course) and pretzels. Your food options are definitely expanding and you're not gagging yourself when you get a texture in your mouth you don't like. Its improvement for sure.

I can never thank you enough for being the little boy that you are. You are the best friend Daddy and I could ever ask for, and we love you more and more each day. Please know that while you may not always like what we do, we are doing the very best we can for you. We can't wait to take you on so many more adventures as you grow and show you the whole world.

Happy Birthday my little love, you're still the best baby ever.

Love always and forever,
Mommy

Seventeen Months Old- Woah.

Grayson Boy-

You are seventeen months old today. Wow. How did that happen? I look back at pictures from a year ago and you're just this little tiny thing who didn't even crawl yet and now I cant stop you from moving.

I know I haven't done a monthly post in awhile, but I wanted to update with a few of what you are doing now.

Clothes: You are wearing 12-18 month shirts and onsies but 18-24 month pants for the length. Daddy and I have no idea where you get your height from, bubba, but we're not complaining. Your chubba wubba feet have normalised and you're in size 5.5 wide shoes right now. Youre in size 4 diapers and I think youll be there for awhile. Although recently you have been asking to go pee on the potty- and will go whenever we put you on there.  We know you're not ready to be potty trained, but I love that you are trying to figure it out on your own before we think you're ready.

Food: You love to eat, but you are picky.  Now I don't mean you'll only eat chicken nuggets for every meal, I mean you will pick what you want to eat for that meal and that is ALL you will eat.  For example you love mac n cheese, but if you decide thats not what you want to eat you will actually gag yourself so you dont have to eat it. You also will not eat the same thing for two days in a row, leftovers or fresh. You are such a stinker. You like grapes, carrots, chicken, cereal (kix, life, cheereos, and captain crunch are your favorites), bananas, apples, crackers, peanut butter, corn, potatoes (not mashed, you HATE those), rice, soup, crumbled up ground meat, pizza, broccoli, pasta and bread of any kind. You're pretty willing to try new foods as long as they are on your terms, and if Mommy is eating something you simply must try it and usually claim my plate as yours. You also drink like a fish. I have never seen a baby who drinks water like you do.

You're full of personality and recently have picked up several tricks.  You have an evil laugh that you do whenever you know youre being naughty, and it cracks us all up.  You hide your toys under your leg and tell us all gone, just like Daddy does when he plays with you. Putting your hands behind your back or in your pockets is a new trick, and you make us laugh with your silly walk shows. You love to chase the dogs with your toys and enjoy it when you can scare them into running out of the room.
Current favorite toys are your ball pit, your ball popper on a stick, books of any kind, and cars cars cars. You are also currently obsessed with the Ipad and can work it better than I can. You're starting to really like Caillou on TV, and love hockey and football just like your Daddy.

You went to the dentist for the second time this month and she said your teeth look amazing.  Youre getting your canines now, then we should have a 2-3 month break before your last molars come in.  She predicts you will have all of your teeth within 4 months.  Mommy really hopes you get your teeth from Daddy and not her, because he's definitely got the better chompers in the family.

This month you also sent Nana to the ER when you poked her in the eye on accident and scratched her cornea.  She had to wear an eye patch for awhile and you thought that was pretty darn funny. She said it hurt really bad, but kisses and snuggles from you make it better. Especially when you blow kisses to her from across the room and then run like mad to give her a big wet real kiss on the face. You're full of love and light,  stinky pickle, and everyone around you sees it.

Every day it feels like you do something new and exciting, that prompts someone to say "When did he start doing that?" Its amazing how smart you are and how much you jibber to us daily. You make our lives better every single day, and we couldn't be more proud of you. Daddy and I say every day how lucky we are to have you and that includes when you're naughty.

(you'll totally kill me for this picture someday, but I crack up whenever I see it- so, sorry kid!)

Love you baby boy, always, forever and even after that.

XOXO,

Mommy

Eleven Months Old

Grayson Boy-

Momma has been dreading this post, because it means that we only have one more month together before you are officially no longer a baby.  I know its silly, but that makes Momma very sad. I can't believe you are as big as you are, or as smart, or as adorable- but here you are and you are all of those things and much, much more.

This month you did so much, you took your first trip to the beach with Mommy and Grammy. We just went for a few days to Virginia Beach before Momma went back to school but you had a blast.  Well, if you were on the blanket you had a blast. You were not too sure of the texture of sand. Im sure youll get used to it next year though.

You started walking, er, running everywhere.  All it took was Mommy pointing at Marley and saying "Look a girl walks more than Grayson". That night you walked, and you walked like a champ. We got your first few wobbly steps on video and I know we will always cherish them. Now, we cant keep you still- you run all over the house.

You're still in your 9-12 month clothes and size 3 diapers- but its apparent that your jeans may start to get too short here soon.  Daddy and I think you weigh around 23 pounds, but we haven't had you at the doctors to check that out for sure.

Your vocabulary is expanding daily. Mama, Dada, Nana, Dog, Gizzy, Light, This, Yes, Out, Up, and Ook all come out of your mouth with ease. I know that you only know so many words because Grammy spends the whole day talking to you, and we repeat everything over and over again for you to mimic. You also know where your tongue, nose and belly are and asking you to point them out is adorable.

You also taught us that you know how to climb steps. One day we were in the kitchen and you looked at the steps and said Up!  Within 45 seconds you were at the top and were so proud of yourself. Momma promptly went out and bought two more baby gates and now we're stepping over them to get up and down but at least you won't fall down the steps because you sneak away on us.

A few days after you hit the 11 month mark we suffered our first loss as a family of three. Your Great Uncle Tony passed away, which made us all very, very sad.  I know you won't remember him but Mommy and Daddy will tell you about him. We both hope that you get his peaceful, mellow attitude and his sense of adventure. He loved to be outdoors and explore and was extremely kind.  He loved you, and always asked Daddy how you were doing when they worked together.  We only have one picture of the two of you together, but Momma will treasure it always.  I know that you have one more Angel looking over you, and this one will make sure that you have skis on your feet and love Colorado.

I cant believe you are so close to your first birthday baby boy, I wish I could just hit pause and suck up every single second with you.  Im so glad that I get to be your Mommy and Im so thankful for the joy you bring to our lives. Without a doubt I know that on September 23rd at 6:11 AM I will be at your bedside, scooping you up and crying like a baby just like I was one year earlier.

Thank you again for being as amazing as you are, Daddy and I love you more than words can say. You're the best thing that ever happened to us, and that is more apparent to us each and every day. Your laugh makes me melt and I would give you anything you want when you reach your little arms out to me and say "Mama" in that sweet voice.  I cant wait to see what this last month of your baby hood holds for us both.

Love you forever and always,
Mommy

Ten Months Old

Grayson Boy-

We did it- you have officially been on the outside as long as it took to bake you. I still cant grasp how you can be 10 months old, but that's besides the point.

You made it EXTREMELY difficult to take these pictures, peanut. You don't sit still for a nano second, and picture taking is a team event these days.

At your 9 month appointment you were 21 pounds 8 ounces, and when we took you back to your 10 month appt you were still exactly the same,  21 lbs 8 oz.  You did however, grow an extra inch- so you're one tall little guy.  You grow too fast, but Daddy is excited for the chance to have a tall boy so hes okay with it. You're breaking into 9-12 month clothes, but can still wear your 6-9 month shirts and size 3 diapers.

This month you took your first vacation- 11 hours in a car and you did excellent.  You barely cried, and were pleasant the whole time. We went to Tennessee and Georgia, and you did a lot of firsts. The only thing you really were not a fan of was the tubing on the Taccoa River because they made you wear a life jacket. You screamed the whole time, and made us all feel so bad.

You're trying so hard to walk, you take 5-6 steps off of the couch before you drop to your knees and take off crawling. You zoom around the couch, literally running the length of the sectional and fling yourself at whoever is there to catch you.

You climb on EVERYTHING. It drives Mommy crazy, because you take your little red chair and push it to the couch and scale it like its no big deal. The other day I was on the phone with Grammy and she asked where you were, and when I looked up to see what you were doing you were trying to climb onto the back of the sofa.  I keep joking that I'm going to attach you to the doggie run so you can't get too far!

You've mastered the high five and so big, and love to do them for people. The other skill you've figured out is clapping.  You clap for yourself all the time, and you wait for us to tell you "Yay Grayson!" while you're doing it. If we don't, you yell at us and its pretty funny.

Your other new trick is the stinker face- and you give it whenever you are not thrilled with a situation.
When you get really agitated, you also snort while making this face and that makes everyone laugh. You're full of personalty, and I love it.

You got to celebrate your first 4th of July as well as the birthdays of both Grammy's this month. You loved watching the small fireworks, but the big ones were too late for you- you passed out before they started.  You painted your first masterpieces this month for Grandma's birthday, and Mommy and Daddy were a little jealous that they got your first works of art.

You love to eat new foods, but you hate when we baby you. You don't like food cut up into baby pieces, you want the big people food and you eat it like a champ.  The other day we went to eat with Grandma and you ate her burger, and you also eat whole slices of pizza.  You want your cereal on a spoon with milk, and a full on banana for breakfast. Chicken strips are a favorite, and so is any type of bread. Spaghetti you think belongs in your hair or on the backs of the puppies, but its so cute to watch you eat it.

You're a talking fool. Of course all you ever want to say is DaaaaDaaaa! You jibber on and on and so far we can pick out words like Mama, Dada, Dog, Yea, and Nana. Mostly though, its all about daddy. He doesn't mind, but it does drive me nuts.  Grammy even tried to bribe you to say Mama- she offered to give you a dollar to say it. You held your hand out like pay up, and laughed at her. You are too much my love.

Grayson you are amazing. I cant say it enough. I love you more than words can say and even though I'm pretty sure you're going to give me a heart attack, I wouldn't change a thing about you or our time together.  You are the light of our lives and were really blessed to be your parents. I cant wait to see everything else you're going to be able to do next month, because you learn everything so fast. Its okay if you slow down a bit though, Mommy doesn't mind if you want to stay a baby for awhile.

Love always,
Mommy

Month 10 Must Haves!!

Here is what were loving this month!

Fisher Price Little People Classic Block Shapes.Opens in a new window

These blocks are the perfect size for little guy to start playing with, because they are still too big to fit into his mouth.  He tries to put them together, and can stack them on top of each other- but has yet to get them to click. He can seriously play with these for a good 30 minutes- which is amazing in Mommy time.

This pool is $7.99 at Toys R Us- and while its the perfect size for baby swimming, its useful for so much more.  Its the absolute perfect size to contain any messy play, and because its that super light plastic it can be cleaned easy and moved to wherever its needed.

So far we have used it to paint in, play with moon sand, play with jello- all big hits.

This is Graysons current favorite spot to watch Super Why. Its his own chair, and the remote balances just perfect on the arm rest.  I like it because its wooden, so its sturdy. When he tries to pull himself up on it, it stays put- which is a plus because hes constantly using this as a jungle gym. Oy.

Best. thing. ever. I can bring along 5 different snacks- puffs, fruit, goldfish, pretzels, and Cheerios all in the space that the Puffs container used to fit. Each piece comes apart and has a little pour spout so they all stay in place. You can put formula, and pacifiers in the compartments as well and remove any part you don't wish to take along. Anytime I am out people always stop and ask where I got it, its just a really awesome diaper bag essential.

If you want the bowl to stay put, this is your answer. It prevents them from knocking the bowl over when they are attempting to get food out themselves, or from tossing it over the edge when they no longer want to eat. Plus, they have lids, which means you can save some for later and just pop it into the fridge. Also works well on the snack tray of the stroller, or the tables at restaurants where they don't always have kid friendly tableware.

Months 8 and 9 Must Haves

I didn’t get to write this one last month- what with having to check a gazillion papers, write a 200 question final and clean up a classroom and all. I mean I love my job, but sometimes it really gets in the way of my blogging. We need to get that under control.

Anywho- on to the list:

Dear lord- is this child obsessed with this toy. He loves to pick it up, turn it over, and play with the little daisies on the sides. It snaps apart into two side by side drums, so we can take it in the car to keep him occupied...and the best part is it has a volume control so you don’t have to hear it loud all the time. Thank you, Fisher Price, for that genius adaptation.
Fisher Price Laugh & Learn with Friends Musical Table

We received this as a baby shower present- and for awhile we had the legs off and Grayson would play on it. Now that we're standing it’s the coolest thing since sliced bread to play on. He loves pressing all of the buttons- over and over and over again- and walking around playing with each of the four things. Right now we like the music option the best, but as he grows he can learn letters and even Spanish from this little table. I love a toy that will grow with him, and doesn’t only last us 2 months.

For the first few months of his life- Grayson was super content to hang out in the baby K'tan. Then old chunkers got too big for that, so we had to look for a better carrier option. I was going back and forth between this carrier and the Ergo- but ultimately chose this one because of the ability for the Bean to face outwards. We have this pattern, the robots, and it is super cute. It is also ridiculously comfortable- I wore Grayson for 5 hours at the Pittsburgh Marathon and my back didn’t hurt at all. It folds up nice and small, so I just toss it in the basket of the stroller and when he decides he’s had enough I stick him in and hes as happy as a clam. It also puts him at the perfect height to help push shopping carts, which is a big thrill. I love, love, love that the baby can be worn on the front, back or hip and face in or out- it just makes for a very versatile carrier that can be used for a long time.
Nuk Learner Latex Spout BPA Free Cup
NUK Learner Latex Spout BPA Free Cup, 5 Ounce, Colors May Vary

Mr. Picky will only drink from two types of sippy cups and this is the first one that he would try. The handles make it easy for him to pick up, and the cup isn’t too heavy for little hands to hoist up. Plus the handles make it easy to tote around for Mommas too. He still loves to pull this around with him as he crawls around, which I don’t mind because it doesn’t leak all over the place.
Nuby 2 Count Super Spout Easy Gripper

Nuby 2 Count Super Spout Easy Gripper, 10 Ounce

This is the other. Once we had it down with the Nuk cup, we tried these out. He took to them really well, besides the fact that he prefers to drink from it upside down. They are a bit heavier and bulkier than the Nuk cups, and seem to give more liquid out at once so I would wait until the Bean is 6 + months for these for sure. One thing that thrills me about this particular cup is that it fits in the cup holder of the stroller and car seat- unlike the Nuk cups with those pesky handles.
Safety 1st Complete Air 65 Convertible Car Seat

Safety 1st Complete Air 65 Protect Convertible Car Seat

It was getting to darn hard to lug the Bean around in his infant seat (Chicco Keyfit 30), the time had come to graduate to a big boy seat. After doing tons of research and trying out a few various car seats in our car/at Babies R Us, we ultimately decided to go with this seat for several reasons. First was its tall shell- Grayson is tall so he probably would outgrow the Britax pretty quick (not something I was willing to do with the price tag for one of those bad boys). Second was its rear facing weight limit of 40 pounds, allowing him to rear face longer. Third was its ease to install and work. It was one of the easiest seats to install with the Latch, and it felt really solid once it was in. We had looked at the Evenflow Triumph, but for the life of me I could not loosen the harness with that red lever thing. With the CA65 it was the same system we were used to with the Keyfit- so it worked well. Last was the price- we got ours on sale at Babies R Us for 115 each- which was something to consider when we had to buy three separate seats. So far, we love this seat. He has plenty of leg room rear facing, with lots of room to grow. He can see out the window now, which makes him a happy camper and its really easy to get him in and out of. Hopefully we will continue to love it as much as we do- since we're in this for a long time!

Pampers Extra Protection Diapers Big Pack
With all of this extra water we're drinking because of the heat- someone started to wake up when his poor little diaper couldn’t take it anymore at about 2 am. We tried Huggies Good Nights- but they leaked all over the crib leaving one unhappy sheet changer. When I saw that Pampers had a Nighttime version, I bought a small pack and we haven't looked back. Seriously, if your kiddo wakes up in the night needing to be changed you need to get your hands on a night time diaper. Eight un-interrupted hours is well worth having to remember to put on the diapers with the sleeping characters of Sesame Street if you ask me. Just remember to buy one size up for nighttime dipes!

Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Learning Workbench

He's his father’s kid- and loves tools. The current thrill of the day, taking that hammer and beating not only the colorful nails and screws on the bench but everything in his little wrecking ball path. As he gets better with the aim this will probably become a bad thing, but for now its just really cute to see him crawl-chase the dog with a hammer.

Thats all for now I think- if you missed months 1-7 be sure to check them out here!

Nine Months Old

Grayson Boy-

Happy summer, baby boy! Mommy was so excited for summer to come so I had a chance to spend three glorious months with you. You learn things so fast, and I just want to be able to see them for the first time...rather than being told by Daddy and Grandma all of the fun tricks you have mastered in your day.

·        At your 9 Month appointment you weighed in at 21 pounds 8 ounces, right in the 66th percentile. However, you were 29.5 inches- ranking up in the 86th percentile. You’re tall bubbers- that we already knew. You’re still mostly in 6-9 month shirts and size 3 diapers, but you need 9-12 month shorts or pants, because as Daddy pointed out you are not preparing for any floods.
·        This month you started asserting your independence- you want to feed yourself, brush your own teeth, dress yourself- all of a sudden and at once. You let me help you get the shirt over your head, but you want to put your arms through yourself- or you have yourself a mini breakdown. Same with tooth brushing- you’ll let me brush them for about 30 seconds before you wield the brush yourself. I swear, the way you like to brush your teeth I won’t be surprised if you decide to be a dentist someday. Literally every time you go into the bathroom, you're begging at the sink to brush away.

·        You took your first little baby step (and Momma got to see it!) at Haley and Jeremy’s house. You stepped from the couch to the coffee table, and were so proud of yourself. Mommy cried, and Daddy yelled because he missed it.
·        You also associated your first word this month! Daddy was asleep with you on the futon in your room, and when I walked in to wake him you woke up instead. You looked up at me with those pretty blue eyes and said "Mama" with a big old grin. I swear little boy, you made me melt into the carpet. I was your first word, and for that when you turn 16 you can pick out any car you like. You have since said Dada to Daddy and Nana to Grammy. You made both of them cry, but I was always quick to remind them that I was first.

·        Other tricks we are working on is so big, waving, and high fives. If we say to you "How big is Grayson?" you lift your little hands above your head as we say "Soooo big!" Sometimes you even lift your arms and look at us as if you say, "Well, how big am I?" You wave, but it’s mostly backwards and you give high fives when you feel like it. We're definitely in the early stages of mastering those skills.

·        You drink water from a sippy all day long, and have been working on taking the fork out of our hands to feed yourself. It makes every meal take 10 times longer, but it’s so cute to see.

·        We started our summer bucket list, and have been doing all kinds of fun things together. I hope you look back on all of this someday and say that you are glad we did so much stuff with you- we really want you to know how much we enjoy you and enjoy being your Mommy and Daddy. We want to make sure you have all kinds of fun experiences and memories- so we refuse to think that you are too little to enjoy things and are just trying to expose you to as much as we can.

·        Gizzy has made up to you a bit this month- she actually lets you play with her! You crawl around dragging her sock puppy and she chases you around in slow motion. She loves you, that’s easy to see; she’s just not too fond of you stealing her attention or pulling on her ears. Since you've started to eat more food and are kind enough to give her bites- she really likes you more than she did a few months ago.

Bubbers, I can't wait to do more fun things with you as we spend every day together. Im looking forward to our first vacation as a family, and seeing you learn to walk. Im so blessed to have such a sweet, smart, funny little boy to call mine- even if I do have to share you with Daddy.
XOXO,
Mommy

Eight Months Old

Grayson Boy-

Sweet baby boy, you're a constant amazement to your Daddy and I. You're trying to hard to grow up too fast in my opinion...and I know that as the days and years go by you're just going to keep on going.

This month was a bit of a struggle to get your pictures because you would.not.sit.still!
At first I tried it by myself because Daddy was outside working, but I quickly realized this was a two man job. You have quickly decided that you don't want to sit still for a second, and you are more than ready to walk. Gravity however, is a little bit of your enemy as your body is still pretty darn wobbly. You love cruising on all of the furniture, and will even pull yourself up on Kaos if you have the chance.

Your fifth tooth is just about to come in, and its been a bugger. You already have your bottom two middle teeth, and your two eye teeth. Which kind of makes you look like a little vampire, but its so darn cute I love it. The one were waiting on will be a middle tooth, and I'm sure the other will not be far behind.

You're still in 6-9 month clothing, but we've started putting you in some 12 month shorts- just so they fit you all summer. They're a little big, but they work.

You babble all of the time. We have distinctly heard you say Mama, Dadda and Nana- but you haven't associated them with any of us yet. Please little guy, for the sake of my belly that you kicked and punched for 9 + months, please say Mama first.  Otherwise Daddy's head will get so big we wont be able to get him out the door.

Daddy ran his first half marathon with Grandma, and you were there to cheer them on the whole time. You also got to go running around with her in your jogging stroller, and you fell asleep each time. Grandma still thought you were a good running partner though.

You eat everything. It doesn't matter what were eating, you want to try it.  So far we have only found that you dislike applesauce and some baby foods. Tonight you chowed down on broccoli and mushrooms and were happy as a clam. I hope these good eating habits continue, and you don't switch it up and become a picky eater on us.

You started to learn how to really play with your toys this month. You know where to put the cars to get them to come down the track, and the balls go in the top of the gum ball machine. When you want to turn the toy on you know where the buttons are, sometimes even Momma cant find the darn things.

You started swimming lessons and you are a FISH in the water.  You love the water, and even dunk yourself in your baby pool outside.  The swim instructor has been so impressed with you, he said you're one of the best babies hes seen in the water. We'll keep you in the water as much as you'd like, and we're going to keep them going as long as you seem to enjoy them.

We started putting you to sleep in your crib on your own- a huge step for Momma.  We used to let you fall asleep in your swing, but you're quickly out growing that and so we had to try this whole sleep training business.  It took you one night of crying for 20 minutes, then one night of less than 10 minutes to going down in less than 5 minutes tonight.  You've also started staying asleep longer and you seem to be less tired during the day, so its a win win for us all.

You gave up your bink this month. One day you just decided that you were over it and didn't want it anymore.  Its pretty amazing how you seem to be raising yourself, but really I wouldn't mind if you let Daddy and I help a little bit.

Thats about it for this month big boy. You are the most amazing blessing we could ever have asked for, and you fill our days with joy, laughter, pride and hope.  We love you to the Moon and back, and wouldn't trade a minute of our time with you for anything in the world. You continue to learn things and do new things every day, and amaze us with how smart you are.  We cant wait to see what is in store for us next month, especially cause Mommy will be off and get to spend three whole months watching you grow.

Love you Always and Forever,

Mommy

Month Seven Must Haves

Heres what we're loving this month!

I never thought my son's first car would be when he was 6 months old, but he is obsessed with this jeep. We actually got this at Christmas time, but just this month did we bust it out of the box. Grayson LOVES it, and putters around the whole downstairs in it.  Its super lightweight, goes on carpet as well as hardwood, makes super cute car noises and has a mirror.  Its a win win for him for sure. He looks a bit like Fred Flinstone sometimes, but I think thats just a bonus.

This is seriously Graysons favorite toy. Its got these little bean shaped tumblers, that jump and tumble and he just laughs the whole time he plays with it.  He knows how to make the music come on, and how to make the wheel spin.  Its the cutest thing ever when he puts the bean on the yellow track and laughs as it comes to the bottom.

These were our first 'big boy' food item. We started breaking them into quarters, now he can eat them whole, but hes such a little bird when he sees the container come out.  They're great for sprinkling on the tray of his high chair when were cooking dinner- they keep him busy picking up and eating them for a good half hour.

Okay, so this is more of a Mommy must have- but its still awesome.  We wanted a pocket video camera that we could capture all of Grayson's little moments on, without spending a ton of cash. This camera has met and exceeded all of our expectations. It goes from off to on and recording in three seconds, its waterproof up to 10 feet, shock proof, dust proof and husband who is clumsy proof. It uses an SD card, and a 4GB card can last for a whole hour.  Plenty of time for capturing little moments in our little mans life.

With Grayson starting to crawl, we spent too much time smashing our face into the hardwoods.  Enter this play mat.  We bought two sets to cover the floor in the living room where Grayson plays the most- and now when he topples over he just gets right back up. The gray color matches our living room, so it didn't look too silly in the middle of the floor.  One set only covers a 4 x 4 area, so if you need something bigger be prepared to get two or three sets.

Thats all for this month, if you missed months 1-6 check out the Raising Parents tab!
